Assam Rifles' Strategic Raids Yield Cache of Arms and Massive Drug Haul in Mizoram
Assam Rifles have successfully executed operations in Mizoram's Champhai and Zokhawthar areas, seizing significant amounts of arms, ammunition, methamphetamine tablets, and contraband areca nuts. Conducted between August 11 and 20, these operations highlight the regiment's strategic use of intelligence and stealthy ambushes to disrupt illegal activities.

In a series of operations, Assam Rifles have made substantial seizures in Mizoram's Champhai district, showcasing a strategic clampdown on illegal activities. These include arms, ammunition, and narcotics, officials revealed.
On August 20, based on precise intelligence, troops executed a stealth operation in the Saikhumpai area, resulting in the recovery of an array of weaponry, including a Heckler and Koch G3 Assault Rifle and various grenades. The seized items were then transferred to Dungtlang Police Department.
In a separate operation, Assam Rifles confiscated 6.86 Kg of Methamphetamine tablets from Zokhawthar on August 18, valued at Rs 21 crore. Meanwhile, on August 11, the regiment also intercepted a massive consignment of areca nuts, underscoring their commitment to curbing illicit trade in the region.
