The Sri Mallikarjun Nagar Youth Welfare Association in Uppuguda, Hyderabad, is prepared to unveil a unique Ganesh idol themed around Operation Sindoor as part of the forthcoming Ganesh Chaturthi festival. Crafted by local artisans at a cost of around Rs 6 lakh, the idol incorporates features such as BrahMos missiles, S-400 rifles, and an overarching army model theme to celebrate India's military prowess.
Alongside the idol, posters illustrating key events in India's military history, such as the Indo-Pak Wars, Bangladesh Liberation War, Kargil War, Uri, and Pulwama Attacks, as well as the recent Operation Sindoor, will be displayed. The initiative is designed to evoke patriotic sentiments and foster national pride among those attending.
In an interview with ANI, Srikanth, one of the organizers, highlighted that the theme was chosen to showcase female power, noting the historical courage demonstrated by India's armed forces. He explained that the youth committee and local community prepared a Sudarshan vehicle to accompany the idol. Notably, the celebration will also feature a short AI-generated film on India's military milestones, to be screened over the course of Navratri.
