Bastar, previously a neglected and Naxal-affected area, is rapidly transforming into a vibrant hub of economic activity in Chhattisgarh. Recent government initiatives have sanctioned railway projects worth Rs 5,200 crore, road developments at Rs 2,300 crore, and extensive healthcare facilities, signaling a robust effort to overhaul the region's connectivity and medical capabilities. This is complemented by major financial commitments from the National Mineral Development Corporation and private entities, setting the stage for large-scale employment and industrial opportunities.

In addition to physical infrastructure, educational institutions and healthcare facilities are being advanced. Significant projects include a proposed 350-bed multi-speciality private hospital and a medical college in Jagdalpur.
