In a decisive operation against international narcotics trafficking, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) of Punjab Police, alongside the Border Security Force (BSF), has successfully dismantled a major drug smuggling module linked with foreign-based criminal mastermind Harpreet Singh, known as Happy Jatt.
Key operative Sajan Singh, also recognized as Billa, was apprehended with 25.9 kg of heroin packed in 25 packets and a 9MM Glock pistol. The arrest is a crucial blow to the network orchestrated by Happy Jatt, who is reportedly operating from overseas and has been involved in over 21 criminal cases in Punjab.
Superintendent of Police Gurpreet Singh revealed that precise intelligence led to the capture near Beharwal village. Further investigations are ongoing, targeting the entire network involved in drone-facilitated heroin consignments from Pakistan. Police are intensifying efforts to extradite Jatt and dismantle the entire nexus.
