The Dehradun-Mussoorie highway, disrupted by relentless rainfall, has now seen restoration at most of its damaged sections, according to officials on Thursday. "The road has been restored in most areas," noted Circle Officer Manoj Aswal. While tourist safety in Mussoorie remains sound, authorities emphasize calmness among residents and visitors.

Earlier, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami conducted a field assessment of relief operations in the disaster-struck regions of Raipur and Mussoorie. This action follows a devastating cloudburst in Chamoli district, impacting over 200 residents. Addressing the media, CM Dhami shared that the deluge damaged 35 homes and caused various injuries, with search efforts ongoing for the missing.

With the Char Dham Yatra underway, CM Dhami has advised pilgrims to stay informed via IMD weather advisories. Directives were issued to expedite relief tasks and ensure timely supply of essentials in affected areas. Priority has been given to reopening blocked roads, restoring utilities, and maintaining vigilance as rescue teams continue their critical operations in Chamoli.
