In a recent development, fintech company MobiKwik disclosed a technical malfunction that led to unauthorized payments across Haryana's Nuh district. The issue, stemming from a software error, was quickly contained, with the company asserting the financial impact has been fully quantified and managed.
MobiKwik emphasized that traditional transaction methods, such as UPI and wallet payments, remained unaffected during the glitch. The company noted that corrective measures were implemented within 45 minutes of detecting the issue on September 12, 2025, and that no insider involvement was observed in the incident.
As part of the response, MobiKwik has bolstered its monitoring and control systems while collaborating with legal authorities to recover the financial deficits. To date, six individuals linked to the exploit have been apprehended and are facing judicial procedures as investigations continue.
