An elderly woman tragically lost her life, and her daughter-in-law sustained injuries when a dilapidated house collapsed in Jaipur's Subhash Chowk on Thursday morning. The injured woman is currently under medical care at SMS Hospital.

According to Seema Chaudhary, Deputy Commissioner of Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC) Heritage, the corporation had alerted residents to the building's deteriorating state last month. 'We issued a warning notice about the building's condition on August 12, but it remained occupied,' Chaudhary said to ANI. The building, owned by Pradeep Sahu, suddenly gave way, resulting in the death and injury reported.

Authorities, including rescue teams and police, swiftly arrived at the scene to manage the situation, and ongoing efforts continue to clear the debris. The incident underscores the need for timely action in response to safety warnings.
