Financial assistance ranging from Rs 2,000 to Rs 1 lakh is being provided to support their education, while Rs 5 crore has been allocated to differently abled students participating in international sports competitions. Additionally, Rs 25 crore has been disbursed as prize money for victorious athletes.
The government plans to offer more employment opportunities through its sports department, setting a target to provide jobs to 20 differently-abled athletes. Recent initiatives include distributing assistive devices and launching low-floor buses across the state to facilitate inclusivity.
