In a significant move towards a sustainable future, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Avaada Group's Rs 1,600-crore solar project on Saturday and set the foundation stone for another 100 MW project in Gujarat's Vadodara district. The projects underline the government's commitment to clean energy and Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

The 280 MW solar project, spread over 1,170 acres in the Tavi and Varsani villages of Surendranagar district, represents an investment of Rs 1,500 crore. Developed under the Gujarat State Solar Policy, this initiative is set to supply power to GUVNL, enhancing the state's renewable energy mix and offering cleaner, affordable electricity to local consumers, especially farmers.

Avaada Group's ventures are expected to slash CO2 emissions by hundreds of thousands of tons annually and conserve millions of liters of water through advanced cleaning systems. Chairman Vineet Mittal emphasized Avaada's dedication to sustainable energy solutions, aligning with India's clean growth trajectory.
