CRPF Blood Donation Camp and Army-Veteran Meet Strengthen Community Ties

The 137 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) conducted a blood donation camp at its Transit Camp in Omara Morh to replenish the blood supply at the Associated Hospital of Government Medical College Udhampur. Commandant Manoj Kumar stated that the camp pays tribute to lives lost in recent natural disasters.

Commandant 137 BN Udhampur said, "In line with directives from the CRPF Directorate General, this Navratri saw 26 personnel from the 137th Battalion donate blood. We aim to address last month's tragic losses from cloudbursts, land erosion, and landslides by assisting those in need of medical aid," he emphasized.

Separately, the Indian Army's Romeo Force hosted a networking event for ex-servicemen at Tota Gali, Poonch on September 30. The gathering included a medical camp to address health concerns, greeted warmly by Mohd Iqlakh Khan, Retired Honorary Captain, and President of the Ex-servicemen League. Khan lauded the Army's attention to veterans' issues and needs.

"Attending the rally organized by the Army at Tota Gali felt rewarding," Khan shared. "We appreciate the comprehensive support, from solving grievances to hosting a medical camp and providing meals. It was heartening to see our needs met so effectively," he told ANI.

This engagement is part of the Indian Army's larger strategy to fortify bonds with veterans while promoting its technological developments.
