In a fiery criticism during the centenary celebrations of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan likened the organization to Zionists in Israel. Speaking at a public meeting in Kannur, Vijayan described the RSS and the Zionists as 'twin brothers,' provoking a mixed response from the attendees.

Furthermore, Vijayan took aim at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his silence regarding former US President Donald Trump's policies, including the H-1B visa fee hikes. He chastised Modi, accusing him of being subservient to Trump, highlighting the detention of Indian citizens and increased visa costs under the previous US administration. He argued that a nation with self-respect would respond vigorously, but lamented that India's leaders have failed in this regard.

Vijayan also rebuked Modi for endorsing the RSS through commemorative stamps and coins, a move he labeled as an affront to the Indian Constitution. In a social media post, he condemned the national honor granted to an organization that, according to him, avoided the freedom struggle and encouraged divisiveness. His remarks echoed the ongoing CPI(M) discord with the RSS as the latter celebrates its 100 years, marking its cultural significance and historical legacy.
