In a striking critique, former RAW chief Vikram Sood has labeled Pakistan a 'banana republic' and condemned its military leadership as being driven by ideological motives. Speaking to ANI, Sood raised concerns over the ideological stance of Pakistan's Army Chief, General Asim Munir, whom he described as an 'Islamic Jihadi General.'
Sood drew attention to a recent incident involving Pakistan Cricket Board Chief Mohsin Naqvi, describing it as a mere 'banana republic reaction.' He further criticized Pakistan's possession of nuclear weapons, emphasising the dangers associated with such a volatile leadership.
Addressing the ongoing crisis in Balochistan, Sood highlighted the increasing participation of the middle and lower middle classes in the movement, noting it as more serious than in previous years. He also mentioned Pakistan's potential exploitation of rare earth minerals despite concerns raised at the UN Human Rights Council over human rights violations in the region.
