Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of Parliament, Nishikant Dubey, launched a severe critique against the Congress party on Monday, accusing it of having sold the Union Ministry of Mining and Petroleum to Serajuddin and Co. in 1956. According to Dubey, documents reveal that this mining company was renowned for obtaining profitable manganese ore leases during the mid-20th century.
Dubey, sharing evidence on the platform 'X', alleged that the then Mining Minister, K.D. Malaviya, was investigated by Supreme Court judge Justice SK Das. Dubey stated that although Malaviya was imprisoned in 1977 for his involvement in the Mumbai High oil scam, the Congress government withdrew the case in 1980. Dubey's post claimed, "Rahul Gandhi's party's wealth stems from such exploits, as the Congress sold the Mining Ministry in 1956. Jawaharlal Nehru admitted this in Lok Sabha. Malaviya resigned in 1963 after four charge sheets were filed against him."
Dubey further asserted that, on October 3, the Congress party imprisoned Jaipur's former Maharani Gayatri Devi and her son, Colonel Bhawani Singh, in 1975. He referenced Singh's military contributions and alleged their imprisonment on charges of smuggling was because Indira Gandhi was envious of Gayatri Devi's beauty. Dubey urged Rahul Gandhi to address this history openly.
