Argentina Boosts Biofuel Prices to Strengthen Domestic Market
The Argentine government has increased biofuel prices, elevating sugarcane-based ethanol to 891.286 pesos per liter and corn-based ethanol to 816.887 pesos per liter. The revised pricing also sets biodiesel at 1,508,704 pesos per metric ton, effective immediately as published in the Official Gazette.

The Argentine government announced a significant hike in biofuel prices on Monday, as reported in two resolutions in the official gazette. The Energy Secretariat set new minimum prices to bolster the domestic market.
Sugarcane-based ethanol now costs 891.286 pesos ($0.63) per liter, climbing from the previous 857.006 pesos. For corn-based ethanol, the price increased to 816.887 pesos per liter, up from 785.468 pesos.
The price adjustment also affects biodiesel for mandatory diesel blending, which has risen to 1,508,704 pesos per metric ton from 1,436,861 pesos. The changes are effective as of their publication in the Official Gazette, reflecting attempts to stabilize and support the sector.
