Political tensions in West Bengal have escalated following an attack on BJP leaders Khagen Murmu and Shankar Ghosh. On Wednesday, Union Minister Sukanta Majumdar visited the injured leaders in Siliguri after the incident occurred in Jalpaiguri's Dooars region.

Majumdar expressed concern over Murmu's condition, noting serious injuries sustained due to alleged stone pelting by TMC supporters. Murmu faces difficulty speaking, and doctors have advised an extended period of rest.

The incident underscores the rising political violence in West Bengal, with BJP leader Dilip Ghosh condemning the attack and highlighting the role of the TMC. Calls for a CBI inquiry and the invocation of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Act have been made, as tensions between the BJP and TMC continue to soar.
