In the early hours of Monday, a significant fire engulfed several shops in Mumbai's Kurla West area, primarily affecting motor spare parts outlets. Shopkeepers reported that the blaze began at around 2:30 AM.

The Mumbai Fire Brigade deployed over ten vehicles to combat the flames, including eight specialized units. Divisional Fire Officer SB Bhosale noted that investigations, potentially involving the police, are ongoing. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported.

On the same day, a separate fire incident occurred in Navi Mumbai's Kharghar area. A short circuit in the duct of the Tricity Symphony residential tower led to the blaze. The CRPF's Rapid Action Force swiftly rescued seven residents, including three women, from the smoke-filled 17th and 18th floors.
