In a unique theft case reported at the New Usmanpur Police Station, an unusual incident of 11 kg of silver stolen from a scooty has left the authorities puzzled. On October 11, at approximately 5 PM, 22-year-old Ramratan Aggarwal informed police officers of his ordeal. Aggarwal, son of Pawan Aggarwal, claimed his scooty brushed against another near JPC Hospital, leading to a brief altercation with two individuals. Upon reaching home, he discovered the absence of his silver stash, prompting immediate police involvement.

Further investigations reveal that this isn't an isolated case in Delhi. Earlier arrests unravelled the case of Sonu Chand, a 29-year-old habitual offender linked to gold thefts, including a metro train heist. The Delhi Police held Chand on charges associated with the theft of gold biscuits weighing over 141 grams. With Rs 3 lakh in alleged stolen assets recovered, Chand's confession hinted at wider criminal ties within the gold trade, raising concerns over organized theft networks.

Adding to the city's crime portfolio, Delhi Police's Cyber Crime team exposed a crypto fraud operation, arresting a suspect from Punjab. The accused, implicated in a Telegram-based scam, lured victims with fake work-from-home propositions and underscores the growing menace of digital fraud in the region. These revelations prompt a renewed focus on tackling both conventional and cyber crimes in Delhi. (ANI)
