Dr. L Shyam Singh, director of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Medical Sciences and Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, has advised residents to focus on hydration to prevent heat-related illnesses.
Dr. Singh underscores the critical importance of staying hydrated, especially during peak sunlight hours between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. He recommends wearing loose clothing and drinking plenty of water. Residents exhibiting symptoms such as dizziness or fever should seek immediate medical assistance, Dr. Singh added.
