Meanwhile, during a separate review meeting, Vijayanand assessed the progress of ongoing projects under the Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation Limited (APGENCO)-National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) joint venture and called for expediting clearances and tender processes to ensure timely execution. He instructed officials to identify new projects in coordination with the Water Resources Department (WRD) and New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (NREDCAP), while also focusing on developing solar power plants to support proposed pumped storage projects. Further, he directed officials to resolve pending issues related to the Gadikota and Rajupalem pumped storage projects in coordination with the Forest Department.
