Iran Executes Two Accused Spies Amid Ongoing Tensions
Iran executed Yaghoub Karimpour and Nasser Bakarzadeh for allegedly spying for Israel, including gathering intelligence near the Natanz nuclear site. According to Iranian media, they were charged with intelligence cooperation with Israel and providing sensitive information to the Mossad spy agency.
Iran has executed two men accused of espionage for Israel, including activities near the Natanz nuclear site, Iranian media reported on Saturday.
The judiciary stated that Yaghoub Karimpour and Nasser Bakarzadeh were sentenced to death after being found guilty of collaborating with Israel's intelligence agency, Mossad.
Karimpour was said to have relayed sensitive information to Mossad agents, while Bakarzadeh collected data on government and religious figures as well as strategic locations, including sites around Natanz.
