Kuwait's Oil Production Surge Amid Regional Challenges
Kuwait aims to boost its oil production to 2.628 million barrels per day by June, according to the state oil minister. OPEC+ plans a collective increase in oil output of 188,000 barrels per day in June, despite ongoing challenges posed by the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
Kuwait is set to increase its oil production capacity to 2.628 million barrels daily by June, as announced by the country's oil minister. The decision aligns with broader OPEC+ strategies.
The oil-exporting group will collectively raise their output targets by 188,000 barrels per day in June. This marks the third month in a row, following an online assembly on Sunday.
However, these targets remain largely symbolic for the time being, as nations around the Gulf have reduced production due to the ongoing closure of the Strait of Hormuz amid conflict in Iran.
