In a bold statement on Monday, Uttar Pradesh Minister Asim Arun accused the Trinamool Congress (TMC) of perpetuating a climate of 'hooliganism and mafia raj,' leading to an exodus of industries following election results in West Bengal. Speaking with ANI, Arun emphasized that the elections emphasized good governance, praising the BJP-led NDA for its performance.
The minister drew comparisons between Assam and Bengal, noting BJP's significant majority in Assam and attributing TMC's issues to industry flight, contrasting them with the BJP's success. He commended the Election Commission's integrity, suggesting the people of Bengal voted fearlessly for governance akin to Uttar Pradesh's crime-free, development-focused administration.
With the BJP advancing towards a majority in West Bengal, potentially unsettling TMC Chief Mamata Banerjee's decade-long rule, the state braces for a political upheaval. BJP's campaign momentum is evident, leading projections as counting continues. TMC's longstanding grip faces challenges, with Banerjee in a closely watched contest against BJP's Suvendu Adhikari in Bhabanipur.
