Empowering Gujarat: Solex Energy’s Bold Solar Investment
Solex Energy is set to invest Rs 4,000 crore in Gujarat to establish a solar cell manufacturing facility and battery energy storage system. Through an MoU with the government, this project aims to bolster Gujarat's status as a clean-tech hub, create jobs, and support India's renewable energy goals.
Solex Energy, a leading solar energy solutions provider, announced plans to invest Rs 4,000 crore in Gujarat. The investment will fund the development of an integrated solar cell manufacturing plant and a battery energy storage system (BESS).
The company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Gujarat government to create an advanced renewable energy manufacturing ecosystem. This initiative aims to establish Gujarat as a global leader in clean-tech by boosting industrial growth and employment opportunities.
The Surat-based firm will begin with a 2-GW solar cell facility in the first phase before expanding to 5-GW. These efforts align with India's renewable energy goals and lay the foundation for a clean energy future, according to Chetan Shah, Chairman & Managing Director of Solex Energy.
