North Tech Symposium: Catalyzing India's Defence Self-Reliance

At the North Tech Symposium held in the historic city of Prayagraj, Northern Army Commander Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma laid out a transformative vision for India's defence manufacturing sector, emphasizing it as a crucial step toward self-reliance. The symposium convenes various stakeholders to uncover indigenous solutions to operational challenges.

Describing the event as a landmark initiative, Lt Gen Sharma highlighted the gathering's aim of uniting the key drivers of capability development: users, industry, and academia. He remarked that this was the first instance of two prominent Army commands coming together to share operational experiences on a unified platform.

The symposium, inaugurated by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, features collaborations with partners like the Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers and the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority. Showcasing a plethora of indigenous technologies, the event aims to enhance operational capabilities and fortify India's self-reliant defence ecosystem.
