Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Friday said that the state has immense investment potential in agriculture-based industries, food processing, value addition and rural entrepreneurship, which would not only boost farmers' incomes but also give a new impetus to job creation. Sharma, who spoke at an Investor Meet of 'Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet (GRAM)–2026' here, said Rajasthan is currently establishing a strong identity among the country's leading states in the fields of agriculture, industry, innovation, and investment. Through transparent policies, advanced infrastructure, better connectivity, and an industry-and-agriculture-friendly environment, the state government is providing investors with a favourable ecosystem, he said. He highlighted the Ram Jal Setu ERCP project under which works worth over Rs 26,000 crore are underway and about Rs 90,000 crore is likely to be invested in it. The project would serve to 17 districts. Observing that Rajasthan is rapidly moving beyond traditional agriculture towards a technology-driven, innovation-led, and investment-enabled agricultural economy, he invited investors to explore the vast opportunities available in agritech, food processing, dairy, digital agriculture, and agricultural infrastructure across the state. Speaking to reporters on the sidelines, he said several MoUs have been signed and still more are in the pipeline. ''Experts from agriculture sector participated and our ministers met them,'' he said. He said Rajasthan will emerge as 'Viksit Rajasthan' along with 'Viksit Bharat' under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and farmers will become strong. ''Our Prime Minister says there are four castes in the country--youth, women, farmer and labourer. If they become strong then definitely our state and the country will also become strong,'' he said. One of the major highlights of the Hyderabad Investor Meet was the signing of MoUs worth Rs 200 crore, an official release said. The main conference of 'Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet (GRAM)–2026' is scheduled to be held in Jaipur from May 23 to 25, 2026, it said. The conference is expected to witness large-scale participation from national and international investors, industry representatives, and policymakers. The initiative marks a significant and long-term step towards establishing Rajasthan as a global hub for agritech and agricultural investments, the release added.
