In a significant boost for infrastructure development in Rajasthan, Union Ministers Ashwini Vaishnaw and Bhupender Yadav, along with the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Bhajanlal Sharma, virtually inaugurated and dedicated various railway projects worth over Rs 400 crore on Friday.

The redevelopment of Alwar railway station was highlighted, underscoring its crucial location on the bustling Delhi-Jaipur route. This Rs 112 crore renovation is part of the Amrit Bharat Station scheme, aimed at modernizing stations to cope with increasing passenger influx. The upgrades include enhanced traffic management systems, increased parking facilities, and improved passenger amenities.

The station's redevelopment reflects Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of railway stations as urban connectors. Planned upgrades feature modern platforms, multiple foot overbridges, and cultural architectural designs, promising to boost tourism and commerce in the area. Across Rajasthan, 85 stations are under redevelopment, with 15 completed, underscoring a nationwide railway infrastructure overhaul.
