Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis emphasized the importance of spiritual leadership for India on the global stage during a 45th-anniversary celebration of the Art of Living Foundation in Bengaluru. He praised Sri Sri Ravi Shankar for promoting India's spiritual philosophy worldwide.
Fadnavis stated that India's vision of becoming a 'Vishwaguru' or global leader is rooted in spiritual, rather than economic or military, power. He highlighted the global outreach of the Art of Living Foundation, which has positively impacted lives across various countries by offering spiritual guidance.
The Chief Minister also acknowledged the organization's significant contributions within Maharashtra, particularly in water conservation and natural farming. He commended their efforts in alleviating urban stress and mental health challenges through initiatives like Sudarshan Kriya.
