IHCL bets on experience-led dining expansion, brings 'Golden Dragon' brand to North India
Indian Hotels Company Limited is expanding its iconic 'Golden Dragon' restaurant brand to North India, marking its debut in the region with a new location in Delhi-NCR.
Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) sees an expansion opportunity for select food and beverage formats across key markets as demand rises for immersive, experience-led dining, with the country's biggest hospitality player bringing its iconic 'Golden Dragon' restaurant brand to North India as part of that strategy, a senior executive said on Friday.
Arun Sundararaj, Senior Vice President - Food & Beverage, IHCL, told PTI, ''We see continued opportunity to expand select formats across key markets where there is a clear appetite for distinctive, experience-led dining''.
The Tata Group-owned firm has announced the opening of Golden Dragon -- the over five-decade old Chinese fine-dining brand at Taj Surajkund Resort & Spa, Delhi-NCR, marking its North India debut. First introduced in 1973 at The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai, the brand also has a presence in Hyderabad, Chennai and Colombo.
The brand's expansion is expected to strengthen IHCL's fine-dining portfolio in North India.
Positioning the launch as both a brand expansion and a strategic fit for the evolving Delhi-NCR hospitality landscape, Sundararaj said Golden Dragon's arrival at Taj Surajkund reflects the enduring appeal of the restaurant brand and the changing profile of the destination itself.
