Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday directed the forest officials to distribute 2.5 crore seed balls for two months from July to protect the environment and improve the state's green cover.
The chief minister asked the officials to make the seed balls ready in June.
''Make the 2.5 crore seed balls distribution programme a success. Get them ready in June for distribution in July and August,'' Naidu said in an official release.
He directed officials to engage students, employees and NGOs to be a part of the seed balls programme, the release added.
