In a move to accelerate development in Gandhinagar, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah inaugurated projects valued at Rs. 340 crore, laying the groundwork for substantial regional growth. The event, attended by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, included the launch of infrastructure projects under GUDA and new initiatives in the rail sectors.

Home Minister Shah highlighted the government's commitment to village development, emphasizing projects supported by government bodies and CSR contributions. Highlighting the ambitious goal of equipping every village with holistic facilities, he outlined plans for libraries, gardens, and recreational spaces by 2029 to enhance living standards.

The inauguration also paid homage to Veer Savarkar. Shah emphasized national security, announcing a new 'Demographic Change Commission' to handle issues of infiltration. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Patel reiterated the vision for Gandhinagar's development with projects aimed at promoting digital literacy and environmental sustainability.
