Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Two Railway Officials During Underpass Construction in Rajasthan

A tragic accident occurred in Rajasthan's Kota district, claiming the lives of two railway officials during an underpass construction on National Highway 52. The incident happened late Thursday night, resulting in Senior Section Engineer Sanjay Kumar Jha and Junior Engineer Prabhat Singh being trapped under debris when the soil unexpectedly caved in.
Speaking on the matter, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Saurabh Jain labeled the accident as tragic and confirmed a probe has been initiated. "The accident took place around 8 pm while engineers were inspecting the site. The sudden soil collapse left two supervisors trapped. Immediate medical attention was sought, but unfortunately, they were declared dead upon arrival," Jain stated.
Investigations are underway, and the railway administration has imposed a speed limit for trains passing through the section. Meanwhile, Prabhat Singh's family claims negligence and seeks accountability, as well as a compassionate appointment for his young daughter to support their household after the loss.
