An Innova vehicle plunged into a gorge and was carried away by a river after allegedly losing control in Devprayag, located in Uttarakhand's Tehri Garhwal district. Authorities report that eight individuals, including the driver, were aboard during the Tuesday incident.

The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) promptly initiated a search and rescue operation. Under the leadership of Commandant Arpan Yaduvanshi, teams are performing a meticulous search across the river using deep diving techniques and other advanced rescue operations to locate the three missing people amidst challenging conditions.

Additionally, an emergent rescue mission was carried out by SDRF in Champawat's Shri Reetha Sahib Joda Mela, where over 50 devotees got trapped midstream due to a sudden rise in the river's water. The team, led by SI Deepak Samant, successfully extricated the devotees and their vehicles to safety.
