AI Revolutionizes Lung Cancer Detection in India

Johnson & Johnson MedTech has unveiled a strategic partnership with Qure.ai to boost early detection of lung cancer throughout India. This collaboration marks a major stride in integrating artificial intelligence with medical technology to improve cancer diagnostics.

Dubbed Project BreatheEZ, this initiative involves establishing AI-led Incidental Pulmonary Nodule (IPN) Detection clinics across India's major hospitals. These clinics are designed to function as comprehensive screening centers, aiming to streamline early lung cancer detection and care management. The first clinic has opened at Thangam Cancer Centre in Namakkal, Tamil Nadu.

The partnership targets a significant healthcare challenge in India, where early detection of lung cancer remains problematic, particularly in less accessible regions. By utilizing AI for assessing X-rays and CT scans, Johnson & Johnson MedTech and Qure.ai aim to identify early cancer indications, significantly enhancing the likelihood of effective treatment.
