A tragic incident unfolded in Maharashtra's Akola district as a psychiatrist allegedly ended his own life by overdosing on medication. The police reported on Sunday that Dr. Prashant Javarkar, 48, injected himself with a substance at his residence in New Tapadia Nagar.

Inspector Manoj Bahure stated that Javarkar succumbed to the overdose shortly after, despite efforts to save him. The doctors at the local hospital declared him dead upon arrival, and the authorities have sent his body for a post-mortem examination.

Javarkar was known for his services at a private hospital, where he had been practicing for several years. The news of his untimely death has sent shockwaves through the healthcare community.
