India has screened 10.18 crore women for cervical cancer out of an eligible 25.42 crore females aged 30 and above by July 20, reports Minister of State for Health, Prataprao Jadhav.

The government is enhancing cancer prevention efforts via the Ayushman Arogya Mandirs and promoting wellness and awareness campaigns across communities.

ASHA workers are vital in conducting risk assessments and guiding women to screening centers. Efforts include promoting awareness through National Cancer Awareness Day and other media campaigns under the National Health Mission.
