Maharashtra's Health System Set for Upgrade with New MoUs

The Maharashtra government took a significant step toward enhancing its public health sector by signing Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) and the Institute of Medical and Minimal Access Surgery Training (IMMAST) on Wednesday.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis praised the partnerships, emphasizing their role in bolstering the state's healthcare workforce. "These collaborations will ensure quality training, particularly for nursing staff, thereby advancing their careers and elevating patient care standards," he stated.

The collaboration aims to establish an Indian Institute of Public Health in Maharashtra to further capacity-building programs and influence public health policy. This initiative will enhance skills and foster sustainable training practices among healthcare professionals in the state, as highlighted by the CMO.
