Mistakes led to tragedy despite ample resources, prompting immediate suspension of Medical Superintendent Raj Kumar, senior medical officer Surjit Singh, and consultant anesthetist Sonakshi. House Surgeon Shaminder Singh has been dismissed permanently.
The incident called attention to serious administrative failures, and the state is now tightening health safety protocols to avoid repetition of similar errors.
