Union Health Minister J P Nadda addressed the Lok Sabha, clarifying the adherence to stringent regulatory standards by the Kerala Medical Services Corporation (KMSCL) regarding rabies vaccine procurement.
Responding to questions about compliance, he confirmed that all vaccines had undergone required testing and received batch release certification from the Central Drugs Laboratory (CDL).
The KMSCL, Nadda stated, has religiously followed protocols since 2016-17, ensuring quality and safety standards, crucial under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940, thus safeguarding public health through meticulous regulatory oversight.
