On August 14, as the nation prepared to celebrate Independence Day, a team of medical professionals at GMC Jammu received a staggering number of 66 critical patients from the affected site. Dr. Ashutosh Gupta, GMC's principal, detailed the operations carried out to save lives.
The natural disaster struck at Chishoti, claiming 60 lives and leaving over 100 injured. Efforts continued the next day with additional surgeries, as the medical staff worked relentlessly in a coordinated effort to handle the emergency and provide healing and comfort to all the victims.
