Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma heralded the state's significant strides in health reforms, highlighted by the creation of over 6.2 crore Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) cards. This achievement places Rajasthan among the top in the nation, according to Sharma.
During a budget review meeting on the health sector, Sharma emphasized the government's commitment to enhancing medical infrastructure and ensuring the delivery of quality health services to every corner of the state. The state has earmarked 8.26 percent of its budget for health, reflecting a dedication to a healthier India, in alignment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision.
In an ambitious move, the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences is set for an upgrade to the Rajasthan Institute of Medical Sciences, with an investment of Rs 750 crore, modeled after Delhi's All India Institute of Medical Sciences. In addition, a pilot project for home delivery of free medicines to the elderly and the advancement of AI-based tools to combat fraudulent activities in state health schemes were announced.
