Anuj, the boy, was alerted by the unusual sight of a snake resting on his grandmother's stomach. In a valiant attempt to remove the serpent, Anuj was bitten.
His screams alerted family members who hurried him to the Bansdih Community Health Centre. However, due to the severity of his condition, he was referred to the district hospital but tragically passed away before arrival, police confirmed.
