Registrations for the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna, a state initiative offering cashless medical treatment up to Rs 10 lakh, will commence on September 23 in Tarn Taran and Barnala, according to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
This comprehensive scheme, aiming to cover all families in Punjab, further underscores Mann's focus on health, education, and infrastructure as state priorities. In the last three years, 881 Aam Aadmi Clinics have been opened, contributing to the medical care of 1.80 crore citizens.
The registration process, requiring basic documents like an Aadhaar card and voter ID, is set to be user-friendly. Initially focusing on 128 locations in Tarn Taran and Barnala, the scope will expand statewide based on feedback, Mann said. Approved by the cabinet in July, Punjab stands out as the only state offering such expansive health coverage.
