Manipur has seen a concerning increase in dengue cases this year, with 2,332 individuals testing positive, according to an official report. Out of those infected, one patient succumbed to the disease.

The current figures indicate a substantial rise of 979 cases compared to last year's count of 1,353 cases reported for the same duration.

Notably, Imphal West recorded the highest number of infections at 1,679, with Imphal East following at 363 cases. Other affected areas include Bishnupur and Thoubal districts. Among the hill districts, Senapati experienced the highest incidence, reporting 45 cases.
