EchoPulse Revolution: AI and VR Transform Cardiac Care
EchoPulse, developed by ACS Rao from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, leverages AI and VR to enhance cardiac examinations. This device analyzes heart scans autonomously, offering quick, clear insights for doctors without extensive pre-labelled data. Its 3D interactive display aids in comprehending heart conditions, potentially improving early diagnoses and treatment planning.

An innovative device named EchoPulse, created by IIT (ISM) Dhanbad professor ACS Rao, is set to change the way doctors examine the heart. The device utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) and virtual reality (VR) to significantly accelerate and improve the accuracy of heart assessments, according to a recent statement.
EchoPulse processes heart scan images independently, allowing doctors to evaluate heart function without the need for copious amounts of pre-labelled data typically required for AI systems. The introduction of virtual reality in this tool provides a dynamic 3D visual interpretation of heart activity, which facilitates an easier understanding of cardiac conditions.
This cutting-edge technology, which received funding from the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), not only detects crucial cardiac signs automatically but also employs 'explainable AI.' As a result, medical professionals can grasp the system's diagnostic reasoning, moving beyond the traditional 'black box' approach to AI. By enhancing the accessibility of advanced heart testing, EchoPulse could be a game-changer, particularly in regions with limited medical facilities.
