Karnataka Deputy CM Visits Ailing Minister in Hospital
Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar visited Minister D Sudhakar at KIMS Hospital, where he is receiving intensive care for a lung infection. The minister's condition is stable on life support, with potential for lung transplantation if no improvement occurs. A multidisciplinary team monitors his health continuously.

Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka, D K Shivakumar, paid a visit to Minister for Planning and Statistics, D Sudhakar, who is undergoing treatment for a severe lung infection at KIMS Hospital in Hyderabad.
According to the Deputy CM's office, Shivakumar met with Sudhakar's family and the medical team to assess the minister's condition. Sudhakar is currently stable but on full life support, and a lung transplantation might be considered if his condition remains unchanged.
Sudhakar was transferred to KIMS on April 20 from Manipal Hospital in Yeshwanthpur for advanced care and has been on Extracorporeal Life Support (ECLS) for his treatment. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah also visited him recently to keep abreast of his health status.
