Union Health Minister J P Nadda highlighted India's strides in healthcare under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership during the 10th National Summit on Good and Replicable Practices and Innovations in Public Health Systems.
Nadda emphasized the comprehensive health policy introduced in 2017, which integrates prevention, promotion, and curative strategies, replacing the earlier curative-focused policy. This policy shift aims to improve numerous health indicators across the nation.
Key initiatives were noted: the establishment of 1.85 lakh Ayushman Arogya Mandirs and enhanced screening programs for prevalent diseases. The policy includes a focus on maternal and child health, aiming for quality healthcare delivery and reduction in mortality rates. Haryana's senior officials also stressed their state's commitment to boosting public health.
