This nationwide free 'Annual Health Check-Up Initiative' targets workers aged 40 and above and will be launched at the Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Medical College & Hospital in New Delhi.
The initiative, an integral part of India's new Labour Codes, aims to enhance social security for workers under the 'Shramev Jayate' framework. This vision underscores the dignity of labor and is part of broader transformative reforms aimed at simplifying compliance and promoting employment formalization.
Under the Code on Social Security, 2020, the initiative mandates health check-ups for workers, especially those involved in hazardous operations.
