In Bihar's Saharsa district, over 150 schoolchildren were hospitalized after allegedly falling ill from consuming a mid-day meal. The alarming incident transpired at a middle school in Baluaha village, prompting a swift response from local health facilities.
The majority of the affected children, numbering 105, are currently receiving medical treatment at the Sadar Hospital, while around 50 others are admitted to Mahishi Public Health Centre. District Magistrate Deepesh Kumar informed the press that, according to doctors, the children's conditions are improving, though they remain under close observation.
Adding a curious twist to the incident, some family members allege that a snake was found in the meal. However, authorities have yet to confirm these claims, urging calm and reiterating that the children's recovery is progressing well.
