A remarkable recovery has unfolded in a Delhi hospital where a 17-year-old girl, diagnosed with advanced Stage 3 Ewing's Sarcoma, defied the odds. After battling severe complications, including life-threatening respiratory distress and septic shock, she emerged victorious, marking a significant triumph against a rare bone cancer.

The patient was admitted to Fortis Hospital Shalimar Bagh in critical condition, requiring immediate intensive care. Medical experts noted a large tumour originating from her ribs had compromised her right lung, putting her life at dire risk. Her case was further complicated by previous alternative therapies that had not succeeded.

Led by Dr. Suhail Qureshi, the medical team initiated chemotherapy and provided ventilatory support amid high risks. Over a tense 15-day period, the teenager's condition improved considerably, and subsequent PET scans confirmed that the cancer remained localised. Her recovery is a testament to timely, evidence-based medical intervention and coordinated ICU management.
