Billionaire entrepreneur Gautam Adani participated in a groundbreaking ceremony in Bihar for an eye hospital capable of performing up to 330,000 surgeries annually. The project, supported by a Rs 150 crore donation from the Adani Foundation, aims to train 1,000 professionals, enhancing healthcare accessibility significantly.
Adani, accompanied by his wife and Adani Foundation Chairperson Priti, announced a personal donation of Rs 500 crore to further their humanitarian healthcare mission across India. This effort underscores their commitment to expanding affordable vision and community healthcare in underserved regions.
Additionally, a 200-bed hospital is planned near Bhagalpur's upcoming thermal power plant, with an estimated cost of Rs 27,000 crore. Gautam Adani emphasized Bihar's historical significance and the Adani Akhand Jyoti Foundation's mission to extend these services nationally.
